Newtown Congregational Preschool was established in 1969 by the Congregational Church. Today, although the school retains the Congregational name and is housed in the church's new facility (built in 2004), it is an incorporated, independent, non-profit, non-denominational and self-supporting school.
The school is licensed for a total of 16 children per class for both three and four year olds. All three teachers are licensed CT State Head Teachers and have been with the school for some time.
Unlike other schools, our classes run only one at a time. There are four classes, two 3-year-old classes and two 4-year-old classes. The 3-year-old classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the 4-year-old classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You have your choice of enrolling your child from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM or 12:15 PM to 2:45 PM for both.
